Památník Odboje

Náměstí dominuje památník Odboje. Památník je dílem pražského sochaře, profesora Jaroslava Horejce a architekta Viléma Kvasničky. Z královédvorského pískovce jej zhotovil sochař František Bílek. Památník byl odhalen v roce 1922, je vysoký šest metrů a představuje Matku vlast zachycující těžce raněného syna, který se pro ni obětoval. Další dominantou náměstí je historická budova gymnázia, která byla postavena v letech 1893–1895.

The Resistance Memorial is the dominant feature of the square. It is the work of a Prague sculptor Prof. Jaroslav Horejc and the architect Vilém Kvasnička. It was made of Dvůr Králové sandstone by the sculptor František Bílek. The memorial was unveiled in 1922, is six meters high and depicts the Mother country holding the seriously injured son who sacrificed his life for her. Another dominant feature of the square is the historic building of the gymnasium built in 1893–1895.

Am Platz náměstí Odboje dominiert das Denkmal an den Widerstandskampf. Es ist ein Werk des Prager Bildhauers Professor Jaroslav Horejc und des Architekten Vilém Kvasnička. Aus Königinhofer Sandstein fertigte es der Bildhauer František Bílek. Das Denkmal wurde im Jahre 1922 enthüllt, ist sechs Meter hoch und stellt die Mutter Heimat dar, welche den schwer verletzten Sohn hält, der sich für sie opferte. Eine weitere Dominante des Platzes ist das historische Gymnasiumsgebäude, das in den Jahren 1893-1895 gebaut wurde.
